The Crocs yet again struggled to produce a favorable result in their West Malaysia Pre-Season friendly when they had to come back from behind to secure a 2-2 draw against NS Matrix.
Robert Alberts changed his tactics for this friendly game, moving Ronald Hikspoor to the defense line, and pushing Ivan Fatic to the midfield to partner Sharol Saperi. On the flanks, Partiban and Joseph Kalang started Billy Mehmet and Ryan Griffith spearheading the attacks.
The move worked wonders against Premier League side NS Matrix struggled to contain hard working Joseph Kalang who beat Kavi Chelvan, before unleashing an impressive cross which was easily headed in by Ryan Griffith.
NS Matrix however pegged the Crocs immediately with skillful Forkey Doe defeating Ronald and Ronny Harun for the equalizer which saw Sarawak second choice keeper Mohd Iqbal defeated.
The home side then gave their fans a reason to cheer with the second goal from Dzaidin Zainuddin, hence putting NS Matrix ahead of the friendly game.
With the Crocs almost certain to be defeated again, Billy Mehmet tapped home a simple pass made by Ashri Chuchu after the later picked up a brilliant pass from Sharol Saperi.
The final whistle soon sounded, bringing closure to what was described as an improved performance by Sarawak in their second friendly in West Malaysia.
Sarawak is scheduled to meet KL SPA this 30th of January before beginnning their SUper League quest on 7th Feruary.
