Recently released Sarawak FA striker Mark Hartmann, didn’t take too long to find a club following his good form when with the Crocs as he was announced as the latest foreign striker to join the Phanters of Penang FA.
The hardworking striker that scored some impressive goals when based in Kuching, joins the likes of Sani Anuar and Mafry Balang, two former Crocs who currently play their trade with the Penang FA.
Mark who was a fan favourite following his high work rate, was a surprised release by Sarawak FA this season, admitted that it was a strange day for him as he was already keen to sign for a team in Thailand, before Penang FA came knocking.
The striker stated that Penang FA called him personally to offer him a place with the Liga Super side, and contract negotiations seemed to have gone swiftly with Mark himself confirming he is set to play for Penang FA, his second Liga Super team this season.
Mark further said he is looking forward to work with his new team and former Malaysian hewd coach Zainal Abidin.
Mark nonetheless will continue the relegation battle he had at Sarawak FA at his new team with Penang FA, as the Pathers are currently rock bottom in the Liga Super and urgently need to start picking up points if they have any hope of survival.
