Manchester City are reported to be closing in on midfielder Matheus Nunes of Wolves.
If an agreement is reached, Nunes will be their fourth signing of the summer.
The Manchester Evening News reports that City had reached a verbal agreement with Wolves for the transfer of the midfielder with the transfer said to be officially formalised with Wolves before personal terms and a medical are arranged.
The move for Nunes comes as Pep Guardiola looks to bolster his ranks following Kevin De Bruyne’s injury.
Last week, City had bidded for the midfielder but was rejected, hence them returning with a £47m offer which includes youngster Tommy Doyle heading in the opposite direction, on a loan with an option to buy term.
There are no add-ons included in the deal and the transfer is expected to be finalized this Friday.
