The start of the 2015 season of the Malaysian League (M-League) has been delayed to 31st January 2015.
According to Astro Arena, the delay was due to unavoidable technical issues, although for us at SarawakCrocs.com, it is highly revolving around the yet-to-be settled TV rights for the forthcoming season. Based on our knowledge, Astro’s TV rights to the M-League has expired, and their new forwarded offer to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) includes a clause which is not favourable to the body. Another offer has also been said to be tabled by Fox Sports Asia.
The M-League which was suppose to start kicking off on 16 January will now start officially on the 31st January with the Sumbangsih Cup match between Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Pahang at Stadium Tan Sri Hassan Yunos.
