Sarawak FA failed to capitalize on their home advantage today after they were held by Pulau Pinang FA to a one all draw at Stadium Negeri.
The game started off with both teams careful not to leak an early goal, with the Crocs having to play most of the game without hit man Mateo Roskam who was taken out by Ian Gillan in the 28th minute due to an injury.
Mateo’s replacement, Nor Azizi took some time to settle in, with the Crocs easily containing any attacks made on their goal.
After the breather, the visiting Pulau Pinang side took lead in the game with Alafi Mahmud scoring in the 60th minute.
The Crocs doubled their effort on goal and was handsomely rewarded with Bobby Gonzales netting the equalizer in the 69th minute, thanks to a set piece move.
Both teams tried their best to find the winning goal from then on, but neither could break their opponents defense until the final whistle.
