The so called ‘schedule’ for the 2015 Malaysia Super Legue 2015 is not the official one, a source close to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) told us.
According to the source, the so called schedule was merely a draft meant for affiliates to check and correct shall there be any discrepancies.
The source pointed out that an example would be the said Lions XII vs Sarawak FA match which is scheduled to fall on Gawai Dayak, which might be a sensitive issue to Sarawakians shall it proceed.
Another example was the fact that some fixtures on the schedule also clashed with the holy month of Ramadan, which is deemed as an inappropriate time to play matches considering most players in Malaysia are fasting.
With that in mind, the source said that an official schedule would be released soon by FAM, and advised fans not to purchase their air tickets until the fixtures are confirmed.
The past week saw the social media abuzz with fans all over Malaysia getting excited about what is said to be the official schedule for the coming Malaysia League.
Meanwhile, a tweet by Sarawakian Astro Arena host Dayang Zainatull Aqma saw her also claim that she has yet to receive the official 2015 Malaysia League schedule which was promised to her today.
