The warm-up match for Harimau Malaya didn’t end well with Kuwait trashing the visiting side 3-0 at Al-Sadaqua Walsalam Stadium.
There was no surprise in Rajagopal’s line up as he listed the regulars to give himself a view of how in-depth his squad is when faced against the Asian giants.
Everything soon showed as the home side needed only six minutes to bring down Harimau Malaya through a superb effort from Al Rashidi Ahmad.
In the 34th minute, Saif Al Hashan doubled the score for Kuwait to ensure Malaysia was behind at the break by two goals.
Despite Malaysia giving some fight in the second half, Kuwait yet again scored in the 53rd minute through Khaled Ajab ensuring that the friendly match was all for the home side.
Malaysia’s next game would be against Bahrain in which they would be playing for a spot in the 2015 Asia Cup competition. The game would be played this coming 15 November Bahrain National Stadium.
Both Sarawak players, namely Bobby Gonzales and Hairol Mokhtar started on the bench in this game.
