The second Liga Bolasepak Rakyat (LBR) would be kicked off at Kuching.
The move is said to be as a sign of respect to Kuching, which emerged as the inaugural champions of the competition last season.
According to LBR Chairman, Dato Dr Shamsul Anwar, the opening kick off on the 24th of September would be coordinated with the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS), with the sponsors of the league organizing a carnival during the day.
At night, a match between the LBR officials and the Sarawak selection would be held.
For this season, 12 teams from Sarawak would fight for two spots to the National LBR Finals, with Serian making it’s maiden entry into the tournament.
The 12 teams represent all divisions in Sarawak.
