Despite starting the season without much worry of relegation, Liga Super side Kuching City FC now find themselves with a possible relegation at the end of the season if they do not change their fortunes.
This comes as the Malaysia Football League (MFL) earlier this week announced that there may be a possibility of the bottom two teams in the Liga Super to be relegated to the Liga M3.
The comment, coming from MFL’s CEO, Datuk Stuart Ramalingam, was carried out by Berita Harian.
According to Stuart, relegation will be possible if the top two Liga M3 teams can gain a football club license from MFL. Such of which, relegation will also be possible if the two top teams in the Liga M3 do get their football club license.
Regardless, Kuching City or The Cats now need to buck up their points as they are now second from the bottom of the Liga Super, only having seven points to show off from 17 matches.
With the Liga Super now hitting its midpoint for the season, Kuching City therefore needs to start collecting points for the remainder of the season if they hope to safely stay in the Liga Super next season.
