A lot of attention is now being given to both Negeri Sembilan and Sarawak United.
The two teams have been performing admirably in the Liga Premier and are currently league leaders in a league which only allows six out its 11 teams to gain promotion to the Liga Super.
Despite both the teams looking good for promotion, many aren’t wary of the threat posed by Kuching City which now sits at tenth.
The new football club which is famous for getting into professional football on merit has not played a single match since the break due to Covid-19 outbreaks, and they have a whopping six matches in hand with all matches played on their own backyard, Stadium Negeri.
In fact, if one was to do the Maths, Kuching City can gain a maximum of 18 points if they won all six matches, enough for them to push themselves the top of the league, closing the point gap between them and the current league leaders.

This would also mean that Kuching City will automatically be in contention for promotion to the Liga Super.
But the task is far from easy.
Kuching City needs to win all these matches by playing back-to-back matches as the Malaysia Football League’s latest schedule suggest.
This means Kuching City head coach, Irfan Bakti will need to rotate players and strategize ways to avoid fatigue and injury.
It also means means players will tactical needs need to be severely adapted to the changes and this can hamper The Cats ability to win matches.
Regardless however, Irfan is an experience coach, and the fans of the Cats will be banking on just that to ensure their favourite team leap high above ground to be in contention for promotion when the league comes closer to an end.
