Liga Super side Kelantan FC has been hit by a transfer ban by “First Instance Body” (FIB) from today, 5 July 2023.
According to a eport by the Malaysia Football league (MFL), the ban was enforced after the club failed to send in proof of payment for salaries of their players and officers for April and May 2023 before June 30 this year.
The club was also said to have failed to send proof that they had paid the EPF contribution before June 28.
It is understood that the ban is saperate from any other diciplinary actions which may be introduced by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) or FIFA.
FIB chairman, Sheikh Mohd Nasir Sheikh Mohd Sharif was also quoted as saying that the body views the incident seriously, but admitted that the ban will be retracted if Kelantan FC is able to settle all the outstanding payments before the transfer window closes on August 1st, 2023.
The retraction of the transfer ban will also be influenced by any decisions made by FAM and FIFA regarding the club.
