Junior doesn’t want to put high hopes

Sarawak midfielder Júnior Aparecido Guimaro de Souza, better known as Juninho was the last foreign player to be signed by the Crocs this season when the January transfer window closed.

SarawakCrocs caught up with the Brazail born, Timor Leste international recently, and managed to learn a little bit about his time in Sarawak, and the future of Sarawak football.

According to Juninho, his daughter and family has been his main motivation to play football, but stressed that he will always give his all for the team he represents to make sure the fans remain happy.

He elaborated that it was rather unfortunate that he had to cut his stint with Selangor short previously, but the circumstances then needed him in Brazil to attend to matters pertaining to his nephew’s death. He however respects Selangor a lot despite not playing for the team again.

Juninho was also grateful that Sarawak had given him the chance to return to the Malaysian League this time around.

The 27 year old player revealed to us that he was not worried about losing his momentum during the two month long M-League break. He said that he would still train hard despite the break.

When asked to place a target for Sarawak this season, Juninho remained realistic, with him hoping that fans and the management would do the same. He added that for now, it was more important for Sarawak to win as many games as they can.

At the end of the intervied, Juninho admitted that he was loving his time in Kuching and his his family is also crazy over Laksa Sarawak. He also promised to give his all for the Crocs to ensure that the team gets the result the fans want.
