Injury and fitness issues disrupts Sarawak FA preparations

Sarawak FA may have just played one game in the Liga Premier, but their injury list is picking up.

According to Sarawak FA team manager Hamzah Brahim, Abdul Rahim would not be available this Saturday when Sarawak take on Pulau Pinang FA at Stadium Negeri.

Hamzah said that the winger injured his left leg during training and would need a long lay-off.

Hamzah also said that the coaches had informed him that Sarawak foreign striker Muamer Salibasic is also not so fit.

He said that Salibasic’s condition is the main reason why Sarawak had opted to sign another striker through Hudson Dias.

Despite the injuries, the good news however is that Sarawak will have two additional players for Saturday’s match versus Pulau Pinang with Dias likely able to play, and Rian Firmansyah already obtaining his ITC.
