The current haze situation in Southern Malaysia may force the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) to pospone the Malaysia Premier League (MPL) game between Sarawak and Johor this Friday.
According to the Department of Environment website, the Air Pollution Index (API) in Pasir Gudang, Johor has hit 168 last night, in which such reading is deemed as unhealthy. Pasir Gudang is the location for this coming’s fixture.
While there has not been any formal announcements yet, rumors are going around cyberspace that FAM may be force to call off the game if the haze situation in Johor deteriorates further, as the Ministry of Health (MOH) has in previous years of haze, adviced outdoor activities to be minimize.
Shall the game be postponed, it will be a huge dismay for Sarawak fans whom have been reported to have made travel arrangements to to Pasir Gudang Stadium.
