Hassan Mohammad (photo), Sarawak’s Lebanese striker will be fit for the Malaysia Cup according to Robert Alberts. The Dutch said that Hassan’s recovery is progressing well, and he should be able to play for the Malaysia Cup.
Nonetheless, the media friendly Robert said that Hassan will however only be used as a substitute despite regaining his fitness.
When touching on Muamer Salibasic, Robert said that the Bosnian will miss the Malaysia Cup campaign after experts in Kuala Lumpur reveal that the striker needs more than a month to recover from his current injury.
The news comes as a blow to Robert’s preparation because Muamer is regarded as Sarawak’s best foreign striker under Robert’s reign as head coach of Sarawak.
Roberts had also previously tried to offload Hassan and Muamer, but was unable to since regulations only allow foreign players to be changed twice in a season. On a good note, Gabor Gyepes will be fit for the Malaysia Cup campaign which will kick off in a week.
