A rumor claiming that former Sarawak player, Gabor Gyepes is not interested to return back to Sarawak has been circling on social media lately, despite news by us that saying that he is keen of a return.
We contacted Gabor directly about the rumour, and he confirmed with us that the rumor (of him not wanting to come back to Sarawak) is untrue, and stated that he would very much like to play for Sarawak shall the opportunity arises. Excerpts of our message with Gabor can be seen below.
Nonetheless, Gabor admitted he is a bit disturbed by news that Robert Alberts has no intention to re-employ former players, stating that the head coach of Sarawak did contact his agent some time ago.
Despite that however, no other attempts have been made to engage Gabor until now.
Gabor was seen as a favourite to fill in the vacant spot opened by injured Ronald Hikspoors, but his chances firmly went in smokes when Utusan Sarawak reported that Robert has no intention to sign former players of Sarawak.
