Former Sarawak goalkeeper interested to return

Former Sarawak goalkeeper Mahathir Mohammad has hinted he would not mind returning to Sarawak shall there be an offer.

The current KL SPA FC goalkeeper last played with the Crocs in 2011, but was dropped for local import goalkeepers such as Sani Anuar Kamsani and Saiful Amar Sudar.

Mahathir’s return however is very much unlikely given the fact that the Crocs have retained Mohd Iqbal and Aidil Mohammad for the coming season, with strong rumours that Mohd Shahril bin Sa’ari is also close to signing for time at Stadium Negeri.

Nonetheless, if the negotiations with Mohd Shahril fall through, the likes of Mahathir returning do look more promising although it is much expected that Sarawak head coach K Rajagobal might promote a youngster for the vacant spot.
