Former Sarawak FA top striker trains with Shah Alam Antlers

One of Sarawak FA’s best foreign striker, Ndumba Makeche was reported to be training with local community-based football club, Shah Alam Antlers FC.

Makeche was Sarawak FA’s top scorer last season, before his contract with the Crocs was not renewed.

After Sarawak FA, it was reported that Makeche had signed with Indonesian Liga Satu side, Bali United for a 10 month contract back in February.

However, it was understood that Makeche wasn’t in the plans of Bali United’s new head coach, and that paved the way for his release from the Indonesian side.

Further inquiries to Shah Alam Antlers disclosed that Makeche is currently unattached with any professional football club and is looking for a new club to join in Malaysia.

His appearance with the Antlers was purely for training purposes to maintain his fitness while waiting for the next Malaysia Super League transfer window, with rumours saying he would likely join Pahang FA.

Aside from Sarawak, Makeche also had a stints with Felda United in 2015.
