FAS wants to meet fans to address security at Stadium Negeri

The management of the Sarawak Football Association (FAS) has said they are scheduling a meeting with representative of fans before the new season starts.

According to local newspapers, FAS is interested to do so to avoid unruly incidents such as what had happened during Sarawak’s final game last season.

It is also understood that FAS intends to get fan groups to help create a safer environment in the stadium, as they try to avoid any incidents which go against the ruling of football governing bodies such as FAM, AFF and AFC.

As far as we have notice, there has yet to be a firm date and time set for such a meeting, although it does seem that FAS is indeed keen to meet up with fans to hear them out and make sure that football in Sarawak moves in a positive direction.

FAS has, in previous years, also held such meetings with local fan representatives.
