Fans back Sudarsono as Ultras Malaya claim ‘it’s not personal’

The shocking revelations raised by Ultras Malaya yesterday had taken social media by storm with Sarawak fans generally behind their football body president Datu Sudersono Osman.

Comments on Sarawak Crocs Facebook wall suggest that the fans such as Zulhariah Amid are waiting for more concrete information to be presented to them before revealing their take on the issue, while those such as Damhoeri Nio Joe Lan claim that those in Ultras Malaya are jealous of Sarawak’s ability to change imports as he commented “Jeles le tu. Apa salahnya klu pemain bagus di bawa, kira rewards le (They are jelous. What’s wrong with us bringing good players.  It’s like a reward)”.

Another comment collected was from Benjamin Yeo on our website, who questioned Ultras Malaya’s motive to ‘introduce Sudarsono in such manner.  Benjammin commented “‘To introduce’..?? More like to assasinate his character. If they are ultras…just be honest about your motives.”

Sudarsono’s son, Irawan also took swipes at Ultras Malaya twitter by defending his father with tweets like “Sudarsono was not involved with FAS in 2007. He took over in 2010, brought FAS out of financial debt and still criticised?!!”, and “aku pun anak sarawak, positif yg telah dibawakan kpd Swk football lagi berganda dari negatif yg dituduhkan (I am also a Sarawakian, and the positives brought to Sarawak football is double the negative accusations)”.

Ultras Malaya didn’t reply to the tweets by Irawan, but did reply to a tweet by football fan Syaiffree whom questioned the motives of Ultras Malaya highlighting Sudarsono who is running for the Deputy President of FAM.

A reply by Ultras Malaya denied the tweets were personal and claimed that they were highlighting Sudarsono, and other candidates for the good of football in the country.

Ultras Malaya today highlighted Pahang FA strongman Fahrizal Hasan, but unlike the tweets about Sudarsono, the tweets about Fahrizal were more positive.

No word from Ultras Malaya affiliate in Sarawak was seen, observed or received to date.
