Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Vice President Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan has denied he is being biased towards the Syahrul Azwari issue which is surrounding Sarawak’s camp.
Takiyuddin, who is also the Chaiman of the FAM PLayer Status Committee, claimed that he was merely giving the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) an advice so that FAS would correct the problem which is seen to be against the rules and regulations set for a player to play in the Malaysian league.
According to Takiyuddin, FAS can’t claim he is being prejudice when he had not said FAS is guilty.
Previously, Takiyuddin had requested FAS to cancel Syahrul’s contract as he deemed it as illegal.
The former Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) Vice President also claimed that Syahrul must return and play for Kelantan in which KAFA must pay his salary and increase it by at least 30 percent from what he was receiving when contracted under Harimau Muda.
Takiyuddin also confirmed that FAM has received a complaint over the issue, and will take action according to the law. He however stated that he would not be involved in the decision making as he is a Kelantanese.
