EXCLUSIVE: “In five days, Sarawak was like home” – Muamer Salibasic

Despite admitting he hadn’t heard about Sarawak prior to being asked to trial for the Crocs in April, 28 year old Muamer Salibasic revealed that he would love to stick with the Crocs in coming seasons shall Sarawak continue to want his services.

The energetic attacking midfielder cum striker said in an exclusive interview by Sarawak Crocs, “I would love to stay on with Sarawak if the team still wants me to play for them, regardless of any offers from other teams”.

He also added that customizing himself to the atmosphere here in Sarawak was difficult at first, but managed to feel at home within five days of his stay.

According to Muamer, his team mates were part of the reason he managed to feel at home, saying “the boys were fantastic, being very friendly and helpful”.

When asked about his opinion of the Sarawak fans, Muamer was full of praise citing them as one of the best he has seen. The fans, according to him “were nothing short of amazing, and he was very happy to play for such a well supported club.”

Muamer also responded very positively about questions regarding the near future of the Crocs, when he revealed that he is delighted with the undefeated streak the Crocs are currently having.

The Bosnian born player added that he is relishing the prospect of playing in the Malaysia Cup, but was quick to add that he will take each game one at the time and hope for the team to progress the furthest possible.

Before the interview ended, Muamer stated he hoped to lift the Premier League title next Monday, as he rated the win over Sime Darby FC as being one of the best moments so far in his career with the Crocs.

Muamer is a new signing at Stadium Negeri, and has since been tauted as the next John Hunter by some fans.

His agility and pace on the pitch, coupled with his fantastic ball control and shooting ability has ensured he made an instant impact for the high flying Crocs which are expected to be crowned Premier League champions this Monday.
