Dong Nai falter to Sarawak in friendly encounter

The Crocs secured their final victory for their pre-season matches in Vietnam by defeating Vietnam Second Division side Dong Nai FC.

Playing in front of a near empty stadium, the Crocs controlled the game with Gilmar Filho making dangerous runs which troubled their opponents most of the time.

Dong Nai however took the lead in the game which was played under the watchful eyes of K Rajagobal.

Gilmar finally broke the deadlock for the visiting Crocs when he scored Sarawak’s first goal via a stunning header which picked off a cross from a croner kick.

With both teams tied at 1-1, Sarawak improved their passing and attacks, allowing Gilmar to strike yet again for the Crocs before half time.

The goal came off Júnior Aparecido Guimaro de Souza’s free kick, which Gilmar neatly netted to put the Crocs in the driving seat of the game.

After the breather, both Sarawak and Doi Nang tried to score, but the defences of both teams proved harder to break.

The game ended with the Crocs winners with a 1-2 score for the visiting side.
