Kuching City FC is still looking for their second win in the Liga Super.
The team, which is now headed by interim coach, Firdaus Morshidi, failed to capitalize on their home advantage once again and lost to Kedah Darul Aman FC by a goal last Saturday.
Firdaus in the post-match interview revealed he was disappointed with the defeat.
The Balai Ringin coach said that Kedah’s winning goal was due to players individual mistake which caused poor defending.
He added that loose marking during a corner caused his side to pay dearly for the mistake.
“Honestly, I am frustrated with the defeat. We were distracted in the first half and didn’t defend properly. Our loose marking caused the corner goal.” Firdaus said after the match.
Firdaus also added that he intended to settle for a draw in the first half of the match and go on the offensive in the second half, which explained the shift in tactics in the second half of the match.
Meanwhile, Kedah Darul Aman head coach, Nafuzi Zain was thankful for the full three points.
According to the head coach, it was a tough match and Kuching City made it difficult for his players as they defended in numbers on a hard pitch.
Despite that, Nafuzi was happy with his players performances for the night.
“Thankfully we won. The field was hard, and Kuching played very defensively with four defenders and strong defenders.
“We managed to breakthrough, but it was not easy to create chances. I’m satisfied with the performances of my players nonetheless” said Nafuzi after the match.
The defeat meant Kuching City is starting to get stuck at the bottom end of the pitch as they drift further from the mid-table of the Liga Super.
