Crocs retain their Super League status

Sarawak will continue to play in the Malaysia Super League next season after earning that one vital point to keep them in the league next season.

The draw with Lions XII last night meant that the Crocs are now safe from relegation, and that they will be playing their last three games without much pressure, with hope that they would improve their final standings in the league.

By default, teams playing in next season’s Super League are automatically included in the Malaysia Cup competition, hence meaning that the Crocs would have yet another chance to win the elusive trophy.

The draw with Lions also meant that the Crocs jump up to fifth in the standings, with a slight opportunity to finish third if they can beat Selangor or Pahang in their coming games.
