Crocs earn first point in Liga Super

Sarawak secured their first point in the Liga Super after they held Pamoga Qu Puteh The Red Warriors (PGPTRW) two-all at Stadium Mohd IV in Kota Bharu.

The Crocs were aggressive from the start of the whistle and took the lead when Makeche Ndumba scored in the eighth minute. The goal came from Davide Grassi who flicked a long throw by Ronny Hanun before Makeche made a beautiful turn to place a beautiful shot into the back of the net.

PQPTRW replied in the 43rd minute when import signing Ilijoski equalised for Kelantan. The goal came when Jonathan Lucca sent the ball over defender opening a one-on-one opportunity for Ilijoski which took full use of the chance to seal the goal.

After the breather, both teams showed more composure but it was the Red Warriors that took the lead in the game Ilijoski yet again found the back of the net.

The goal came off a horrible mistake by Grassi who miskicked a cross from Wan Zack Haikal, allowing the loose ball to hit Ilijoski before heading in to put the home side ahead of an intense game.

Sarawak fought back through J Partiban, but Khairul Fahmi was up to the task to stop the possible equalizer.

With the clock close to the full time, Makeche again made his strike count when he pounced a loose ball in the penalty box for Sarawak’s all important equalizer.

With an extra ten times added to play, no team was able to break the deadlock, ending the game with a draw.
