Crocs crash out of Piala FA yet again [With video]

The coach for Sarawak FA may be different from past seasons, but the little success Sarawak has had in the Piala FA seems to continue as they were knocked out of the competition by Perak last night.

Playing away at Stadium Ipoh, the Crocs and Perak met out predictions by being unable to overcome each other in full time, resulting in both teams needing to play extra time to determine who would be playing in the fouth round of the Piala Malaysia.

But all looked well for the Crocs in the first half of the game with Sharil Sa-ari making stunning saves as he played his debut match for the Crocs.

J Partiban then put the visiting Crocs ahead in the game when he calmly slotted in Sarawak’s first goal in the game courtesy of a pass from Riduwan Maon.

The lead was maintained until the first half for the Crocs going into the dressing room the happier side.

After the breather, the Crocs tried to slow down play, and this allowed Perak to take control of the game.

Defender Thiago Junio finally made fans at Stadium Ipoh roar with delight when he equalized for the home team with a header to put both teams back square at the 83rd minute

With both teams unable to find the winning goal, the referee dragged the game into extra time to determine the winner of the game.

Perak took full advantage of the extra time by ensuring Muhammad Firdaus Saiyadi’s neatly shot on goal went straight into the back of the net to put Perak ahead.

Already ahead, Perak mounted more attacks and Ahmad Beto’s powerful shot on goal rolled into the goal to signal the end of Sarawak’s Piala FA hopes for the season.
