Former Sarawak fitness coach Azley Abdullah, was one of the 30 coaches which completed the final phase of the AFC ‘A’ License Coaches Course which was held recently.
The course was held at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya, Selangor.
Azley, famous for his loyalty to the Crocs began his football career as a reserve goalkeeper to the senior squad of Sarawak in the early 90’s.
A lucky break however saw him being called to replace an injured Mazlan Wahed in 1994, prompting his glorious career as one of the Crocs under the much remembered Alan Vest era.
In 2003, Stanley was diagnosed with a slipped disc, but remained active playing for the Crocs until he was appointed as a fitness coach for the team in 2013.
Despite earning his ‘A’ license, Azley’s role with the Crocs for the coming season remains uncertain after the management of Sarawak decided to hire Michal Horny as their new fitness coach.
