Sarawak winger S Chanturu, has been listed as one of the players called up to train for Harimau Malaya, as new coach Dollah Salleh tries to stamp his mark as the new chief of the poorly ranked Malaysia national team.
Chanturu, who has been superb with the Crocs during the league was however the only player from Sarawak to be listed in the national team, with JDT having eight players, Pahang having four, Selangor and Kelantan having three each, and Terengganu having two players listed from their respective teams. PDRM and Kedah will also provide one player to Dollah’s new national squad of 23 players.
The players listed are expected to train with Dollah on August 6th, before the squad heads out to meet Tajikistan on August 8th for an international friendly match.
Dollah needs to prep his side for the coming AFF Cup, which Malaysia aims to win. Below is the full list of the newly announced squad:
