The future of 34-years old Michael Carrick remains uncertain at his current club, Manchester United.
Although there is rumours of United wanting to keep him due to his bag of experience which is healthy for the group of young United prospects, the deal has being put on hold with indecision of boss Van Gaal calling the shots for now.
Despite that, things may change as speculations have surfaced that former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been offered a three years deal to replace the Dutchman though there has yet to be any confirmed decision over the news.
Once the managerial issue is settled, the experienced midfielder might get a deal, but there are also rumors mentioning that the English international might be looking at a contract offered by rival club, Arsenal.
