While no official news about his departure from Sarawak FA had been published to date, his presence during PKNS’s training shows the tall defender among the players listening to head coach K Rajagobal during the team’s pre-season training in Selangor.

Previously, we have been made to understand that Bonai was indeed invited to join PKNS FC by Rajagobal, but a rumour also suggested that he has signed a contract extension with the Crocs recently.

Last week, a local daily reported that Bonai also confirmed he was at cross-roads to either sign for PKNS, or stay in Sarawak FA.

Despite all the news and rumours, Bonai’s appearance with PKNS FC nonetheless gives a clear indication of his future in football, making him likely to be the 11th player to ‘check-out’ of the Crocs at the end of 2017.

The departure of Bonai is yet another blow to the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) which intends to go all local for the coming season, particularly with Bonai being one of the best crop of youngsters in the team.
