A few Facebook pages have reported that the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) has taken note of the BolaTanpaMercun campaign.
We at Sarawak Crocs understand that the management of FAS will be issuing a statement over their support, and will step up efforts to curb firecrackers from being used and played during home matches.
An source which wanted to remain anonymous said that the management was hopeful that the fans would be more keen to use their voices and chants to support the team, as he added that FAS was deeply troubled by explosions made by firecrackers.
The Bola Tanpa Mercun is an ongoing campaign by Sarawak fans to curb the burning of firecrackers during football games. The campaign has gained massive support locally, and a proposal on how to improve conditions during home games at Stadium Negeri has been forwarded to FAS by SarawakCrocs.
