Coach Robert Alberts may just had enough after a local daily reported that Robert is now ready to offload the under-performing Iranian striker from his side when the April transfer window opens.
According to a local Malay daily, the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) would act to terminate Aliredza’s contract, and seek to sign Ryan Griffith whom was previously heavily linked to the Crocs.
Robert added that the Crocs would need to get hold of the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) before they could conclude the signing of the 32-year-old Griffith while adding that Sarawak manager Abu Bakar Marzuki is now negotiating with the player on terms of his contract.
Griffith now plays his trade with A-League Adelaide United, and has scored one goal from four games. The Australian striker was close to sign a deal with Sarawak earlier this year but the move was halted midway after FAM after they ruled out his ineligible to play in the Malaysian league due to to his short stint in China’s second division team Beijing Baxy.
The news confirms rumours that Aliredza may have been given an ultimatum when he started in the Sarawak vs Felda FA Cup quarter finals as they tall striker was caught on camera looking distraught after the game ended with him not scoring yet again.
