The Crown Prince of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim is making headlines again and this time it is in regards to the Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) between the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) – MP Silva.
According to the Tunku Ibrahim, the partnership will see FAM and MP Silva would see the TV rights for the Malaysian league divided with a ratio of 30:40:20:10 with 30% going to all the teams participating in the league, 40% to FAM, 20% to the league management and 10% to the referees.
This would mean that FAM would get the biggest chunk of the TV rights profit, while the teams playing in the league would have to share the lower 30% distribution allocated under FMLLP.
The outspoken prince added that the 10% funds to the referees should be given to an independent referee body to avoid referees from being biased.
FAM has yet to respond to Tunku Ismail’s statement about this issue so far.
