Syahrul Azwari’s case finally closed

The impending case of Syahrul Azwari has finally come to an end after Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) today announced that the player will finally be allowed to join the Crocs under a loan spell.

According to what we understand, the loan deal has been agreed before this, but both the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) and Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) were still ironing the details, prompting Syahrul to be ineligible for two of Sarawak’s previous games.

The announcement means that Syahrul will make his debut for the Crocs this coming Saturday when the Crocs take of Perak at Stadium Ipoh.

Syahrul’s case became sensationalized after KAFA claimed that FAS had signed the Kelantan born player behind their backs.  FAS denied such claims, but eventually found themselves losing the legal battle when the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) stepped in to intervene.

With the transfer window closing fast, FAS had then decided not to appeal the decision, and take up matters directly with KAFA in which an informal loan deal was struck before the Liga Super opening match.

However, the deal was not official as several issues had yet to be ironed out by both sides, prompting Syahrul to be left out of the Sarawak squad for the past two games.
