The FIFA ranking of Harimau Malaya remains the same for the new year with the national team also unchanged in both the South East Asia and Asia football rankings.
Rivals Singapore are below Malaysia in the FIFA January ranking as they come at 157th spot, while Thailand whom won the AFF Suzuki Cup 2015 is placed at 142nd.
Malaysia’s football ranking has been hovering around 140-160 in the past year with the national team recording the best rank of 141 in March 2014.
Germany retains their lead in the FIFA ranking, with Argentina and Colombia coming in second and third of the ranks for January 2015.
