Looks like the Crocs would finally get proper competitive football before the season starts after all. According to several news sources, Sarawak FA has confirmed their participation in the Piala Wali Kota (Mayor’s Cup) which will be played in Indonesia. The news was also revealed by Utusan Borneo today, although no Sarawak FA official was quoted in the report.
Our source from Indonesia has also confirmed Sarawak’s participation saying that the Crocs with the Red Giants of Malaysia (Selangor FA) have both confirmed their participation in the tournament.
Another football page (This Is Borneo Team Sarawak Football) has also release the schedule of the tournament as seen below, with word of caution that it (the schedule) is subject to last minute changes. As for now, this is however the only source we have on the schedule.

The confirmation of Sarawak in the tournament also automatically suggest that Sarawak would no longer entertain Sabah FA and KL SPA in the second week of January, with both fixtures reported to be postponed to another date as it clashes with the Piala Wali Kota dates..
Although considered a pre-season tournament for most teams participating, the Piala Wali Kota is expected to be televised on Indonesian channels Indonesia SCTV and Indosiar.
