Sarawak to attack, attack and attack Sime Darby

THE Premier League focus shifts to Kuching for tomorrow’s biggie when second placed Sarawak play leaders Sime Darby at the Sarawak Stadium which could turn out to be the title winners.

Sime Darby and Sarawak are the only two teams in the Premier League who have not lost a match and go into battle with a best defensive record too, having conceded only nine goals in 15 matches. Sime Darby, however, have scored 38 goals to Sarawak’s 27.

Sarawak coach Robert Alberts believes that Sime Darby are the team to beat in the Premier League this season … and the only way the Crocs can beat their rivals is to go into attack mode.

“We have to attack, attack and attack right from the start if we want to beat Sime Darby. Sime Darby are a solid team with good balance in all departments,” Alberts told sports247.my.

The Crocs will count on their leading scorer, Sabah-born Bobby Gonzales to get the goals. Gonzales is Sarawak’s leading scorer with 12 league goals.

“The top of the table clash is likely to decide the (Premier) league winners. It is a big match for both teams and it has drawn a lot of interest as it could be the decider who will be the champions.”

The Dutchman admitted that for now Sime Darby “deserve to be on top” but Sarawak have not given up hope of displacing the plantation giants as the new leaders.
