Sarawak sunk to a new low last Saturday when they not only stretch their win-less streak to three, but also scored a new low attendance at Stadium Negeri since the Crocs ‘rebirth’ in recent years.
According to the figures announced at the stadium during the Sarawak vs Felda United game last Saturday, attendance was roughly 500, which is by far the lowest ever recorded for any league game played by the Crocs since 2013. Sarawak’s home ground, Stadium Negeri could hold up to 22,000 fans, with their newer stadium, the Sarawak Stadium able to accomodate up to 40,000 seated fans.
The Crocs had never had a problem attracting the crowd prior to this with fans fighting to get their hands on match tickets which were normally sold in batches.
The huge decline in attendance is believed to be due to the late kick-off time, as well as the poor performances by the Crocs in recent weeks.
