Sarawak’s Piala Presiden football team had to play with ten men with 15-minutes left on the clock, but became eventual winners of the second Piala Presiden match today.
Playing under good weather, the Crocs scored first in the game through Amirul Nizam, to put them in the driving seat until half time.
After the breather, UiTM FC stepped up their game and managed to find the equalizer they were looking for, putting the game all square.
Ten minutes later, UiTM took the lead in the game through another goal which Sarawak goalkeeper Florian Rison failed to catch.
Trailing 1-2, Fuad Grbesic improved their assault on UiTM’s goalmouth, but saw their efforts hampered after Awang Iskandar Awang Chek was red carded by the referee.
Despite playing with ten man, the Nur Shamie Iszuan Amin managed to put the Under-21 Crocs back level with UiTM with with all to play for in the game.
Abdul Rahim Abdul Razak finally put the Crocs back in the lead three minutes later to put the home side in the drivers seat of the game.
With the score now 3-2 for the home side, the referee awarded a spot kick to the Crocs in the last few minutes of the game, and Nur Shamie made no mistake to convert Sarawak’s fourth and final goal of the game.
