Sarawak FA staff and players pledge to be ‘clean’

The players and staff of Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) yesterday pledged to keep themselves away from bribery in a simple ceremony at the Stadiun Negeri meeting room.

According to website dayakdaily.com, the event was organized by both the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) with FAS, in which MACC sees it as a good way to ensure an organisation such as FAS is committed to staying away from bribery.

MACC also stated that they also conduct community related events in regards to fighting bribery.

FAS Presiden Dato Posa Majais also stated during the event that the oath taking by FAS players and staff is one of his managements commitment in producing players and staff of high integrity and quality.

FAS in recent years had not been investigaed for bribery although a few teams playing against them such as NS Betaria, had been subject to an investigation by MACC in previous years. – sarawakcrocs.com
