Sarawak FA is looking at both Nigeria and Argentina to replace outgoing Nebosja Mirankovic.
According to a report by Utusan Borneo, two players from Nigeria have already started training with the Crocs over the week, and were both identified as Okedara Riliwan Omalaja and Mohamad Kamaldeen Ayinde.
The newspaper reported that both players are in their 20’s but our checks online came back empty, making both players largely unknown.
However, based on the newspaper report, both Amalaja and Kamaldeen play as defenders, making them an unlikely choice given that Nebosja plays as a midfielder.
Utusan Borneo also quoted Ian Gillan as saying that two former Argentine players would also be coming to Kuching for trails in coming weeks.
While Sarawak FA had not formally confirmed the departure of Nebosja, strong rumours are suggesting that he would be released soon, and the fact that Sarawak FA had already invited foreign players for trails gives a very clear indication that the Crocs are looking at beefing up their team during the mid-season transfer window.
