Despite saying the team is on a shoe string budget, the Football Association of Sarawak is keen to sign a new foreign player.
After Posa Majais said Sarawak FA would be looking at the possibility of signing an Argentinian recently, Sarawak head coach Anai Igang today waa quoted by Utusan Borneo as saying there is another candidate to look into.
This time around, the candidate is a French defender.
According to the report by Utusan Borneo, Anai would be observing the French defender during the Sarawak pre-season preparations in West Malaysia.
He is expected to join Sarawak play against Selangor United. His identity has yet to be known.
Shall the unknown Frenchman impress Anai and his coaching staff enough, he would likely fill in the final void for a foreign import.
Sarawak has so far obtained the service of striker Muamer Salibasic, midfielder Rian, and utility player Ronald Hiskpoors for their foreign import quota and still has one slot open.
