The quality of refereeing during the JDT versus Sarawak game got Sarawak import Ryan Griffith upset with the number 23 showing the ‘money sign’ to match officials right after the game.
His action was caught on camera by fans whom took no time to share it online, prompting Ryan to tweet “I know I will I will get in trouble for flashing the money sign to the ref. but tonight was a disgrace and all Malaysia saw what happened!”.
Sarawak went down fighting during the game last Saturday against JDT, which the referee allowing several harsh tackles on both sides of the game.
Two of Sarawak’s players, namely Ramesh Lai and Ivan Fatic were also booked by the referee for dissent during the game after they reacted poorly to have alleged fouled JDT players, with Ivan getting the worst deal as it caused him to earn his marching orders due to the double yellow card during the game.
