The Red Giants defended mostly during the first half of the game, but found themselves leading in the 11th minute thanks to a strike from Guilherme De Paula.

Pahang FA, coached by Zainal Abidin Hassan, tried to find the equalizer, goalkeeper Norazlan Razali was on top form to deny the visitors easy entry into his goal.

In the second half, Nazmi Faiz Mansor drove in a grounder shot in the 54th minute to ensure Pahang were shown the door from Malaysia’s longest football competition with an aggregate score of 2-0 for his side.

Elsewhere, Kedah managed to edged Super League tea Felda United 2-1 at home to book themselves a place in the finals of the Malaysia Cup.

Felda however opened the scoreline with a brilliant goal from Ahmad Syamim Yahya in the 40th minute, but celebrations were cut short for the Fighters when Chidi Edeh equalized three minutes later.

The 30,000 home fans roared again with approval at Darul Aman Stadium just six minutes after half time when import player Sandro da Silva put in the winning goal to ensure Kedah travel to Shah Alam this Saturday for the Malaysia Cup Finnals with an aggregate of 4-3.
