K Rajagobal has come out to defend his sides poor performance as head coach during the post Selangor-Sarawak match interview last night.
Admitting that Sarawak had started the season slower than expected, the head coach pointed out that part of the slow start was due to the problems faced by his key players during the start of the season.
According to Rajagobal, the release of several key players he had in plan had disturbed the Crocs at the beginning of the season, a statement highly linked to the problems linked to the signing of Syahrul Azwari. Sarawak also had problems securing local talents like Sufizal Ismail which was later dropped from the main squad of Sarawak.
Aside from that, Rajagobal also said injuries were the main root of the slow start, with striker Ndumba Makeche only able to play when Sarawak played Felda United.
Sarawak are on a winless streak in the Liga Super and are still searching for a clean sheet.
Though fans are still giving Rajagobal the benefit of the doubt, some have already started venting their frustration over what they claim as ‘a team lacking in quality’.
