Preview: PDRM vs Sarawak

After showing their superiority in the 1-0 win against Sime Darby FC, the Crocs continue their mission for promotion with an away game against gusty PDRM FC.

The task may look simple on paper, but Robert Alberts knows that winning the game against PDRM FC is a must if the Crocs were to maintain their lead in the Malaysian Premier League, particularly considering the fact that Sime Darby is literally breathing just under their necks to retake pole position.

For this match, Sarawak will miss hardworking Joseph Kallang Tie who injured himself during the last clash at home, but the rest of the team is expected to be at Roberts disposal.

Also most probably missing this clash is Muamer Salibasic who is currently nursing an injury, tempting Roberts to sideline him until he is fully fit.

The void left by Joseph and Muamer is likely to be filled by captan Sharol Saperi and Azizan Baba, altough Maswandy Ibrahim who performed admirably in the last game against Simde Darby may just make the cut.

Up front, Roberts will be looking at Bobby Gonzales to put the ball at the back of the net, while Sabahan Junior Eldstal is likely to make his third start for the Crocs as a defensive midfielder.

Guy Bwele as usual, will be expected to win balls in the middle of the park, as the solid four of Sarawak’s defense which consist of Ronny Harun, Ramesh Lai, Hairol Mokhtar and Mafry Ballang is expected to curb Khairul Izuan Abdullah and co. from penetrating the goal mouth guarded by Sani Anuar.

A win in this game wouldn’t ensure Sarawak’s position at the top of the league is safe as their closest rival, Sime Darby is expected to trash Betaria FC tomorrow.

With that said, Sarawak needs to go all out in this game and make sure the league title does not slip out of their hands after holding in since last Friday.
