It’s the first day of the Liga Premier for Sarawak FA and they travel to Negeri Sembilan for this important match.
Here’s our brief preview of the match.
PAST MEETINGS
Both Sarawak and Negeri Sembilan had met 17 times according to Soccerway.com.
Negeri Sembilan is however the stronger side given that they had won 14 of those matches including the last three matches which dates back to 2012.
Sarawak in contrast only won once, which is the game played at home in the Liga Super back in 2007. On paper, Negeri Sembilan is definitely the stronger side.
POSSIBLE LINE-UP FOR SARAWAK FA
We are expecting Anai Igang to put in experienced players for this game, meaning the likes of Shreen Tambi, Benedict Martin, Abdul Rahim, Dalgish Papin, Ronald Hikspoors and Nur Shamie Iszuan are likely starters.
Up-front, Bobby Gonzales and Muamer Salibasic are guaranteed starters, while the new players such as Rian Nugraha Yukandi, and Pedro Henrique are also likely to make their debut.
PLAYER TO WATCH

Benedict Martin is our key player in this match. While many eyes would be pointing at Muamer Salibasic, we feel that Benedict deserves attention for his hard work and ability to command the centre back of the Sarawak defences.
Benedict will no doubt give Negeri Sembilan attackers a run for their money and could be a game-changer at the defences of Sarawak since the rest of the line-up would likely be still new to Liga Premier football.
OUR VERDICT
It is hard not to see Sarawak fall in this match considering the players Negeri Sembilan own. We however do not believe Negeri Sembilan would run riots in the Sarawak area as they too are still getting things together. That said, we believe a draw is likely for this match.
