Premier League Preview: Sarawak vs Perlis

Muamer SalibasicSarawak will have an added advantage when they take on Northern Lions today with a near full squad at head coach Robert Alberts disposal.

Leading the line for the Crocs is new signing Muamer Salibasic, who comes in replacing Croation Ivan Babic. Salibasic’s transfer comes at a surprise after major newspapers reported that the player had failed to obtain his ITC, and Sarawak was trying out new player.

Aside from that, Azizan Baba and Mafry Balang also returns to the team, and the Crocs might opt to put Junior Elsdal in the starting line-up after fan favorite Guy Bwele obtained his suspension for this game following last Tuedays second yellow card.

Sarawak is expected to go all out for the win to please a disappointed home crowd after their exit from the FA Cup last Tuesday. The defeat not only dented Sarawak’s winning streak, but also busted Sarawak’s clean record at home. On a consolation, the Crocs are still undefeated in the Malaysia Premier League.

Nonetheless, Perlis is no pushovers as this emerging squad can spring surprises shall Sarawak take them complacently. The game starts at 8:15PM, and fans are encouraged to wear red.
