PM2015: Perak FA 1-0 Sarawak FA

Sarawak failed to keep their momentum in the Malaysia Cup when they were defeated 1-0 at Ipoh last Saturday.

The Crocs tried their best to get into the game, but Perak used their highly motivated youngsters to their advantage by pushing the ball forward.

The first half ended with both sides still stuck at a stalemate with neither team looking to win the game.

After the breather, the Crocs inserted some urgency into their game but somewhat found themselves overwhelmed by the increased pace Perak was playing.

Ryan Griffith and Billy Mehmet found themselves unable to break from their markers and Joseph Kalang’s typical runs were constantly cut short by hard tackles.

In the 63rd minute, a lapse in the Crocs defense caused them the whole game as former Sarawak striker Bobby Gonzales, outpaced Ramesh Lai to neatly push in the only goal of the game, ensuring the Crocs leave Ipoh empty handed.

The Crocs are scheduled to meet JDT next in Larkin next after the game, also against JDT in Stadium Negeri, was postponed. Despite the defeat, Sarawak are still second in the Malaysia Cup Group B with three points.
